Temba Bavuma Returns for Sri Lanka Test Series

South Africa's Test captain Temba Bavuma has been cleared to play in the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, starting on November 27, after recovering from an elbow injury. His return is crucial for the team's ambitions in the ICC World Test Championship, where they need to secure victories in all four remaining Tests to keep their final hopes alive. Alongside Bavuma, all-rounder Marco Jansen and fast bowler Gerald Coetzee are also back in the squad after missing previous matches. Coach Shukri Conrad expressed confidence in the team's selection, noting the importance of Bavuma's leadership. The squad has been reduced to 14 players to allow others the chance to play first-class cricket. The first Test will take place at Kingsmead Stadium in Durban, followed by the second match in Gqeberha on December 5.
