Betsy Brandt Joins Mayfair Witches Season 3 as Series Regular

Betsy Brandt has been cast as a series regular named Katherine for AMC's Mayfair Witches Season 3, joining returning stars Alexandra Daddario, Harry Hamlin, Tongayi Chirisa and Alyssa Jirrels. AMC said production is beginning this week, with reports of shoots in Vancouver and possibly Salem, Massachusetts, and the season will move the story from New Orleans to Salem. Season 3 is billed to dive deeper into Mayfair witchcraft mythology, introduce new families, and dramatize historical events tied to Salem's witch‑trial lore. Brandt's Katherine may correspond to the Katherine Mayfair character in Anne Rice's Lives of the Mayfair Witches — Julien's deceased sister in the novels who rejected Lasher's command. Her casting reunites her with Breaking Bad–connected producers including executive producer Mark Johnson and showrunner Thomas Schnauz, alongside Esta Spalding, as AMC continues expanding its Anne Rice Immortal Universe with series such as Talamasca and The Vampire Lestat. The absence of Jack Huston from casting lists has prompted speculation that his character Lasher did not return after Season 2's finale.
