An 18-year-old Waffle House employee, Burlie Dawson Locklear, was fatally shot by a customer in Laurinburg, North Carolina. The incident occurred around 12:40 a.m. on Friday when the suspect, identified as Florwer Carlin Lizano, Jr., became agitated while waiting for his food order. After receiving his food, Lizano allegedly fired two shots at the restaurant, striking Locklear, before fleeing in a dark gray Chevrolet. Police have issued a warrant for Lizano, who is considered armed and dangerous, and charged him with first-degree murder and other offenses. Waffle House has condemned the violence and is cooperating with the investigation while offering condolences and support to Locklear's family and friends.
