National Science Museum Hosts Hockney Exhibition in Bradford

The National Science and Media Museum in Bradford has reopened with a new exhibition titled 'David Hockney: Pieced Together,' showcasing the artist's innovative video installations and photocollages. The exhibition, running until May 18, features Hockney’s work capturing Woldgate Woods across the seasons and includes rare joiner photographs not seen for 25 years. This exhibition is particularly significant as Hockney is a Bradford native, and it serves as a celebration of his artistic contributions. Concurrently, the Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture initiative has launched a drawing project, DRAW!, inviting the public to engage in art inspired by themes set by various artists, with the first theme chosen by Hockney himself. In addition, the National Gallery will visit Bradford in February as part of their Art Road Trip, offering community art activities to enhance access to the arts. These events collectively highlight Bradford's cultural vibrancy and commitment to promoting artistic expression among its residents.
