Actor Darshan Faces Murder Charges, Admits Assault

Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his girlfriend Pavithra Gowda have been implicated in the murder of Renukaswamy, who allegedly sent obscene messages to Pavithra. Darshan admitted to assaulting Renukaswamy and coercing him to apologize to Pavithra, who also physically assaulted the victim. The autopsy report revealed Renukaswamy suffered 39 injuries, including a broken chest bone and damaged testicles, leading to his death. Judicial custody for Darshan and Pavithra has been extended until September 12, with a detailed 3,991-page chargesheet filed against 17 individuals. Despite the controversy and allegations of VIP treatment, Darshan was granted a television in his cell to stay updated on his case.
