Four Men Arrested In Modesto Jewelry Store Smash-And-Grab Robbery

A smash-and-grab robbery occurred at Sai Jewelers in Modesto on Sunday evening, when a red Mitsubishi rammed through the storefront and around 20 masked suspects, according to surveillance footage, entered and stole a large amount of jewelry before fleeing in multiple vehicles. Four individuals—Nasir Blocker, Anton Crawford, Gangster Lawson, and Nehemiah Miller—were arrested shortly after the incident, as police were already investigating a stolen vehicle flagged by a license plate reader that was connected to the crime. The four men face charges of robbery, vehicle theft, and conspiracy, with Blocker's bail set at $2 million and the others at $1 million each. Police believe the suspects may be linked to similar robberies in Oakland, Alameda County, and Beverly Hills, and are actively searching for at least a dozen more individuals involved. No injuries or weapons were reported in the incident. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to identify the remaining suspects.
