The report emphasizes that immediate action is required to address inequalities and reduce excessive consumption to create a 'safe and just space' for all by mid-century. Additionally, the International Labour Organization underscores the critical role of social protection in aiding vulnerable populations affected by climate change, noting that a significant portion of these communities lacks adequate support. As climate impacts escalate, more than 2 billion people in climate-vulnerable countries remain without social protection, highlighting the need for systemic reforms.
