Nationwide Weather: Warm, Windy, Cooler Weekend Ahead
National forecasts this week show late‑season warmth followed by very strong winds and cooler air later in the week. KTNV predicts dry, sunny conditions with highs in the low 90s Thursday before a low‑pressure system brings strong winds and highs near the low 80s Friday into the weekend. Omaha is expected to warm from the mid‑80s into the upper 80s–low 90s Thursday–Friday with gusts up to 40 mph, then see a cold front Sunday that brings cooler temperatures and increased rain chances next week. Northern Ohio and the Philadelphia area will be mostly clear, breezy and pleasant with nights in the 40s–50s and daytime highs near the mid‑70s with little rain for the next 7–10 days; coastal Maine will be much cooler with highs in the 50s–60s and possible widespread overnight frost before moderating into the 70s by the weekend. Several local video pages require JavaScript, limiting some local reporting, and a separate local report said police found a young man dead on the 1500 block of Lathrop Street after reports of gunfire just before midnight Wednesday.
