Coastal Carolina Advances to CWS Finals Over Louisville
Coastal Carolina advanced to the College World Series finals with an 11-3 win over Louisville, extending their winning streak to 26 games. The Chanticleers, now 56-11, jumped out to an early lead with a six-run first inning, highlighted by Colby Thorndyke's five RBIs. Starter Riley Eikhoff kept Louisville scoreless until the sixth, while the bullpen closed out the victory with 3 2/3 shutout innings. Coastal Carolina will seek its second national title, with the finals beginning Saturday against either LSU or Arkansas. The team has remained undefeated (43-0) when leading after six innings this season and has scored 64 runs in eight NCAA Tournament games. Louisville's season ends at 42-24 after the loss.
