

Punjab Police Arrest Three in Gurpreet Singh Murder
Punjab Police have arrested three individuals connected to the murder of Sikh activist Gurpreet Singh, also known as Bhodi, which occurred on October 9, 2024. The arrests are linked to gangster-turned-terrorist Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh Dalla, who is believed to be the mastermind behind the crime orchestrated from abroad, possibly involving international handlers. Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav indicated that various operational modules were used for reconnaissance and execution, with evidence suggesting the involvement of Amritpal Singh, the leader of Waris Punjab De, who is currently jailed. The arrested suspects, identified as Bilal Ahmed, Guramardeep Singh, and Arshdeep Singh alias Jhandu, were part of the reconnaissance module managed by Karamveer Singh based in Canada. Ongoing investigations are focused on identifying and apprehending additional individuals involved in the conspiracy. The police aim to ensure the safety and security of Punjab as directed by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
