Chelsea O'Donnell Sentenced to One-Year Prison Term

Chelsea O’Donnell, 28, the adopted daughter of Rosie O’Donnell, had her probation revoked on Oct. 22 and was ordered to serve a previously stayed one-year prison sentence plus one year of extended supervision after pleading guilty earlier this year to multiple drug-related charges from arrests in September–November 2024. Marinette County Treatment Drug Court officials moved to terminate her participation, citing sexual-assault allegations and a lack of significant progress in treatment; she has been in custody since Sept. 9. Court records show the one-year stayed sentence will go into effect following the revocation, while other stayed terms in related cases remain. She is expected to be transferred to the Taycheedah Correctional Institution. Rosie O’Donnell posted an Instagram photo asking for prayers and expressed compassion for Chelsea’s long struggle with addiction and the family’s continued support.
