Cyclone Asna, which developed from a deep depression over the Arabian Sea, is moving west-northwestward away from the Indian coast. The storm has caused significant rainfall and flooding in Gujarat, with 26 deaths and over 18,000 people relocated. Heavy rains have particularly affected regions such as Kutch, Saurashtra, and Vadodara. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that Cyclone Asna will continue to move away from India, bringing heavy rainfall to isolated places in Gujarat. As the weather system progresses, it is expected to weaken back into a deep depression. Meanwhile, Pakistan and coastal regions of Sindh are also bracing for heavy rains and potential flooding due to the cyclone.
