2024 Laadli Media Awards Recognize Gender Sensitivity

The 14th Laadli Media and Advertising Awards for Gender Sensitivity 2024 recognized numerous journalists for their impactful reporting on gender issues. Among the winners, Sneha Richhariya was honored for her series on acid attack survivors, highlighting the severe physical and emotional toll on victims, predominantly women. The Indian Express celebrated three of its reporters, including Anuradha Mascarenhas for her exploration of gender biases in science and Nitin Sharma for his coverage of a young archer's achievements despite her disability. The Hindu also received accolades for features focusing on mental health support in rural communities and the challenges faced by women with diabetes. Notably, Sukanya Shaji and Nithya Pandian from The News Minute were recognized for their articles on conversion therapy and menstrual segregation, respectively, addressing critical social issues affecting women in India. A total of 74 awardees were celebrated for their contributions to promoting gender sensitivity in media.
