Taylor Swift Cake Withdrawn from Cake International

A life-sized Taylor Swift cake, designed by artist Elza Baldzhiyska, was withdrawn from the Cake International event in Birmingham after its hands were damaged during transport. Despite attempts to repair the cake, which was dressed in a blue and white sequin outfit from Swift's Eras Tour, the damage, including disintegrated hands and bent knees, was too extensive, leading to its removal from the competition. The mishap disappointed many who anticipated its display. The Cake International event, celebrating its 30th anniversary, continues to showcase a variety of impressive creations, including a life-sized Queen Elizabeth I cake by Emma Jayne and a seven-foot-tall birthday cake. Although the Taylor Swift cake was pulled, the event still offers numerous edible art exhibits and live demonstrations. Elza Baldzhiyska had spent over 100 hours crafting her detailed model of the pop star, adding to the drama of its last-minute withdrawal.
