Netflix Unveils 'Thursday Murder Club' Trailer

Netflix has released the first trailer for 'The Thursday Murder Club,' an adaptation of Richard Osman's bestselling novel set to premiere on August 28. Directed by Chris Columbus and produced with Amblin Entertainment, the film stars Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, and Celia Imrie as retirees investigating a new murder in their English retirement village. The cast is further bolstered by Naomi Ackie, David Tennant, Richard E. Grant, and Jonathan Pryce. Executive producer Richard Osman expressed his excitement at seeing his characters brought to life by the acclaimed ensemble. The film is being compared to other popular mystery comedies like 'Only Murders in the Building' and 'Knives Out.' The fifth book in Osman's series, 'The Impossible Fortune,' is scheduled for release in September.
