PLCB Launches Lottery for 1,775 Rare Whiskeys

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) has opened a limited-release lottery for 1,775 bottles of rare whiskeys from the Pappy Van Winkle and Buffalo Trace Antique Collections, available for residents and licensees until 5 p.m. on February 28. Participants can enter one or both lotteries, with each entry allowing the chance to purchase only one bottle if selected. The Buffalo Trace lottery includes 496 bottles priced at $149.99 each, while the Van Winkle lottery features 1,279 bottles at various prices, including a $449.99 bottle of Pappy Van Winkle's Family Reserve 23-Year-Old. Winners will be chosen randomly, and participants must have a verified Pennsylvania billing address and an active account on the Fine Wine & Good Spirits website. Only one entry per household is permitted for each lottery, ensuring fairness in the selection process. The lottery drawings will occur the week of March 3, overseen by an independent third party to ensure transparency.
