Kiingi Tūheitia, the Māori King, has passed away at the age of 69 following complications from heart surgery, just days after celebrating the 18th anniversary of his coronation. A Kiingitanga spokesperson confirmed that Tūheitia will lie in state at Taupiri Mountain before his burial.
