Weston Cage Receives Two-Year Mental Health Program After Assault Charges

Weston Cage, son of Nicolas Cage, has been sentenced to a two-year mental health diversion program following an alleged assault on his mother, Christina Fulton. A Los Angeles judge determined that Weston suffers from a mental health disorder, which significantly contributed to the incident, allowing him to avoid prison time. His attorney reported that Weston is in a good state mentally, engaged to be married, and has been actively seeking treatment. Fulton expressed support for the diversion program but also requested additional inpatient treatment for her son. Although she described the violent nature of the attack, she advocated for his rehabilitation, emphasizing her love for him. If Weston complies with his treatment plan, the charges may be dismissed in April 2027.
