Conway Bar Shooting Kills Man, Three Charged in Incident

A deadly shooting occurred at Rascal’s Bar and Grill in Conway, South Carolina, resulting in the death of 41-year-old Lester Goldsmith, who was working at the bar at the time. Irving Oswaldo Centeno Gonzalez was arrested and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, while two other men, Herman Sanchez Herrera and Marcos Gutierrez-Vazquez, faced charges related to disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. The shooting took place shortly before 10 p.m., and police responded to reports of gunfire at the bar, where a large crowd was present. Rascal’s Bar announced it would remain closed following the incident and expressed gratitude for law enforcement's efforts in apprehending the suspect. Centeno remains in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center pending a bond hearing, while the other two men have been released on bond.
