Genting Dream Cruise Ship Rescues Man in Distress in Straits of Malacca
On September 3, the cruise ship Genting Dream, operated by Dream Cruises, rescued a man found in distress in a small boat in the Straits of Malacca during a three-night voyage from Singapore to Phuket. The crew promptly initiated rescue procedures after spotting the individual signaling for help, bringing him safely on board where he received food, drinks, and a medical check-up. The man is in stable condition and continues to receive care from the ship’s medical team. Michael Goh, president of StarDream Cruises, commended the crew for their vigilance and professionalism in carrying out the successful rescue. Dream Cruises is coordinating with authorities to arrange for the man’s safe transfer to shore. StarDream Cruises operates two cruise brands, Star Cruises and Dream Cruises, with voyages across Asia based in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
