This end-terrace building, currently a vacant hairdressing salon with two rented apartments above, was saved from demolition in 2008 and has considerable historical significance in television. The sitcom, which aired from 1976 to 1985 and starred Ronnie Barker and David Jason, depicted the comedic trials of a miserly shopkeeper and his assistant. The auction is expected to attract considerable interest due to the property's iconic status, as it was also featured in the series revival, Still Open All Hours, from 2013 to 2019. Previous auction attempts in 2008 did not meet the reserve price, raising hopes for a successful sale this time.
