Maricopa County Sheriff's Office Rescues Over 70 Dogs From Suspected Puppy Mill in Litchfield Park

The investigation uncovered deplorable conditions including dogs confined in crates without food or water, living in their own waste, and at least one dead dog, with the operation allegedly running for years selling 'designer dogs' for $2,000 to $3,000 each. The rescued dogs are now receiving medical care at the MCSO Animal Safe Haven, where volunteer inmates assist with their care. Authorities are awaiting veterinary reports before proceeding with arrests, but the homeowners could face over 100 charges related to animal mistreatment.
