Bestselling Author Barbara Taylor Bradford Dies at 91

Barbara Taylor Bradford, renowned for her debut novel 'A Woman of Substance,' has passed away at 91. Her 1979 novel became a bestseller, selling over 30 million copies and spawning the Emma Harte Saga, which includes eight books. Her career spanned 40 novels, with more than 90 million copies sold worldwide in over 40 languages. Bradford's works often depicted strong female protagonists and were adapted into TV films and series, some produced by her husband, Robert Bradford. She was celebrated for her storytelling, earning an OBE in 2007 for her contributions to literature. Bradford died peacefully at home after a brief illness, surrounded by loved ones.
