Prime Video will premiere 'American Thunder: NASCAR to Le Mans' on June 12, offering a behind-the-scenes look at NASCAR and Hendrick Motorsports’ ambitious 2023 entry into the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The documentary follows the transformation of a Chevrolet Camaro stock car, typically built for short oval races, into an endurance racer for one of the most iconic international motorsport events. Featuring renowned drivers Jenson Button, Jimmie Johnson, and Mike Rockenfeller, the film highlights the car's dramatic performance, including running as high as 27th overall and leading the GTE-Am field before a mechanical setback dropped it to a 39th-place finish.
