Dodgers Activate Shohei Ohtani, Designate Eddie Rosario for Assignment

The Los Angeles Dodgers placed Shohei Ohtani on the paternity list as he and his wife welcomed their first child, with manager Dave Roberts stating Ohtani could return by the end of the Rangers series. To fill his roster spot, the Dodgers called up veteran outfielder Eddie Rosario from Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he had been performing well. To make room for Rosario on the 40-man roster, pitcher Edgardo Henriquez was transferred to the 60-day injured list due to a foot (or ankle) injury. Subsequently, once Ohtani returned from the paternity list, Rosario was designated for assignment to clear a roster spot for Ohtani's activation.
