Hyatt Plans Casa Duhau Luxury Hotel in Mendoza Wine Region

Hyatt Hotels Corporation, in partnership with the Scalesciani and David families, is set to develop Casa Duhau, a luxury hotel in Mendoza, Argentina, which will be the only property in the country under Hyatt’s Unbound Collection. Scheduled to begin construction by the end of 2025 and open in late 2027, Casa Duhau will feature 52 upscale villas and suites within the nearly 1,000-acre Reserva Alto Agrelo development, which also includes a premium winery, Bodega Agrelia, and 116 luxury residential lots. The project aims to blend luxury hospitality with the natural beauty and wine culture of Mendoza, offering guests unique experiences such as equestrian activities through Casa David – Wine & Horses, alongside world-class vineyard views of the Andes Mountains. Casa Duhau represents a strategic expansion for Hyatt in one of the world’s most significant wine regions, enhancing its luxury portfolio in Argentina and tapping into the growing market for exclusive travel experiences. The architectural and interior designs will be managed by prominent firms, while the development is overseen by Terrandes SAS and BDA Realty. Despite its promising outlook, the project faces potential risks related to its long construction timeline and economic fluctuations impacting costs and progress.
