Over 400,000 Flee Lebanon Amid Israeli Strikes

Over 400,000 individuals have fled from Lebanon into Syria amid intensified Israeli airstrikes since September 23, according to multiple reports from the UN and Lebanese authorities. UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi confirmed that humanitarian efforts are underway at crossing points to assist the displaced. The airstrikes have resulted in significant casualties, with at least 1,251 people killed and over 3,600 injured, while more than 1.2 million people are displaced within Lebanon. The situation has worsened, with conflict-related deaths increasing by 200 percent in two weeks and more than half a million people displaced.
