Trader Joe's Plans 34 Store Openings Across Multiple US States

Trader Joe's is rapidly expanding with at least seven new store locations planned across the U.S., including new openings in California, Washington, Texas, New York, South Carolina, Florida, and Connecticut. Notable new stores include a Southern California location in Costa Mesa, a second store in Lacey, Washington, and a Texas store in the Houston suburb of Kingwood, which will bring Texas's total to 23 Trader Joe's locations. The chain currently operates over 600 stores across 42 states and Washington, D.C., with California being home to the largest share at 205 stores. The company selects new sites based on factors such as population density, customer traffic, parking availability, and alignment with the Trader Joe's brand. Fans in Western New York are also anticipating a store in Williamsville, adding to the region's enthusiasm for the grocer that began with its first Western New York location in Amherst in 2013.
