Fargo Police Fatally Shoot Armed Man
Fargo police have identified Peter Greco, a 65-year-old man, as the individual fatally shot by officers during a mental health call on Wednesday. Officers responded to multiple calls from Greco, who expressed suicidal ideations and was armed with a handgun. After engaging with him for about half an hour, he exited his home with the firearm, prompting officers Sgt. Lucas Mock and Officer Princeton Harris to discharge their weapons. Both officers have been placed on administrative leave while the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation conducts an inquiry. Police Chief Dave Zibolski expressed condolences to Greco's family and emphasized the need for a thorough investigation, acknowledging community concerns surrounding such incidents. Greco had previous documented interactions with police related to his mental health, including six calls this year alone.
