Major Bridge Repairs to Cause Regional Delays

Idaho's historic Rainbow Bridge on State Highway 55 will have single-lane closures on weekdays through the summer for repairs, with the project set to finish by fall and unrelated to a planned $60 million replacement scheduled for 2028-2029. Additionally, Idaho Highway 21 near Lowman will be reduced to a single alternating lane from July 2024 to November 2025 for a bridge replacement over the Payette River, with the project expected to be complete in 2027.
