Pedestrian killed in vehicle collision in East Allegheny
In the early hours of Saturday, a man was struck and killed by a vehicle in Pittsburgh's East Allegheny neighborhood at the intersection of East Ohio Street and East Street. Police arrived at approximately 2 a.m. to find the victim with severe head injuries, and he was pronounced dead on the scene. Witnesses reported that the man had exited a silver pickup truck traveling eastbound just before the collision occurred. The truck involved in the incident fled the scene, continuing on East Ohio Street before turning onto Madison Avenue. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, including whether the truck directly hit the victim or if another vehicle was involved. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
