NASA has issued warnings regarding two airplane-sized asteroids, 2024 UT7 and 2024 UX6, set to pass close to Earth on November 5, 2024. The larger 2024 UT7, approximately 200 feet wide, will come within 1.03 million kilometers of Earth, while 2024 UX6, about 120 feet wide, will pass at a distance of 6.59 million kilometers. Both asteroids are part of the Apollo group and are being closely monitored due to their potential to cross Earth's orbit. Although they do not pose an immediate threat, similar-sized asteroids could cause significant damage if they collide with Earth, prompting ongoing monitoring by NASA and other space agencies. Additionally, NASA's NEOWISE spacecraft, which played a crucial role in tracking near-Earth objects, has recently concluded its mission.
