An 87-year-old man was violently attacked and kidnapped while walking home from Oldham Central Mosque on Sunday evening. The assailants, described as two men aged 25-30 and potentially Bangladeshi, forced him into a black vehicle, blindfolded him, and demanded money and his phone while threatening him and ripping his clothing. After being driven to a remote area in West Yorkshire, he was dumped on the side of the road, where he managed to find help an hour later. Greater Manchester Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for information regarding the incident. Detective Inspector Emma Hulston emphasized the terrifying nature of the attack and the serious injuries the victim sustained. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in capturing the perpetrators.
