Saints Sign Clyde Edwards-Helaire as RB Depth

Clyde Edwards-Helaire has been signed by the New Orleans Saints after being waived by the Kansas City Chiefs. Although it's uncertain if he will join the 53-man roster or the practice squad, this move comes as the Saints deal with an injury to starting running back Alvin Kamara. Edwards-Helaire, a first-round draft pick in 2020, had a declining performance in Kansas City and did not play in any regular-season games this year, largely due to health issues including PTSD. His addition to the Saints provides much-needed depth at running back alongside Jamaal Williams and Kendre Miller. Edwards-Helaire, a Baton Rouge native and former LSU star, expressed gratitude for the support he received during his challenging times with the Chiefs. He won two Super Bowls with Kansas City but faced significant personal struggles during his tenure there.
