Dozens Arrested, 26 Police Injured at Tommy Robinson London Rally
More than 110,000 people gathered in central London for the far-right "Unite the Kingdom" rally organized by Tommy Robinson, which escalated into violent clashes resulting in at least 25 arrests and numerous police injuries. The Metropolitan Police reported officers facing significant aggression, including assaults with kicks, punches, bottles, and flares, as they tried to control crowds attempting to breach cordons near the main stage and counter-demonstrators. The event featured speeches by far-right figures and a video link appearance from Elon Musk, who called for the dissolution of parliament and urged Britons to "fight back or die" against what he described as the "destruction of Britain" caused by uncontrolled migration, drawing criticism from political leaders. Around 5,000 anti-racism protesters marched separately, with police deploying more than 1,600 officers to keep the groups apart and maintain order. Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood condemned the violence and vowed that those involved in criminal acts would face legal consequences, while police continue investigations to identify and arrest further offenders. The rally was described as the largest far-right demonstration in British history, with authorities emphasizing the challenge of policing such a large and volatile crowd.
