The Waterboys Release New Single Featuring Fiona Apple

The Waterboys have released a new single, 'Letter From An Unknown Girlfriend,' featuring Fiona Apple, from their upcoming album 'Life, Death And Dennis Hopper,' set to launch on April 4 via Sun Records. The song, which addresses themes of abuse and personal resilience, showcases Apple's distinctive vocals and reflects on the broader narrative of pop culture over the past 75 years as it relates to the life of actor Dennis Hopper. Waterboys frontman Mike Scott emphasizes that Hopper's life encapsulates significant cultural moments, from youth culture to the counter-culture movements of the 1960s. The band will support the album with a UK and Ireland tour starting May 1, culminating in a performance at London's Roundhouse on May 31. Other notable collaborations on the album include contributions from Bruce Springsteen and Steve Earle.
