Hasiru Dala Innovations Raises INR 6 Crore for Expansion

Hasiru Dala Innovations (HDI), a solid waste management enterprise, has secured INR 6 crore in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Rainmatter Fintech Investments and including Next Bharat Ventures IFSC. The funds will be utilized to enhance HDI's plastics circularity operations, increasing recycling capacity and operational efficiency, while also expanding its Bio-gas plant in collaboration with Carbon Masters. The investment aims to support leadership recruitment and facilitate HDI's growth beyond Bengaluru, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable waste management and circular economy solutions. Nithin Kamath, CEO of Rainmatter, emphasized the importance of empowering waste pickers as stakeholders in this model, highlighting the environmental and social impact of HDI's initiatives. Both Rainmatter and Next Bharat Ventures expressed their commitment to supporting mission-driven entrepreneurship that creates lasting social change.
