Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu and ex-Congress MLA Kiran Choudhry have filed their nominations as BJP candidates for the Rajya Sabha bypolls from Rajasthan and Haryana, respectively. Bittu is anticipated to win unopposed due to BJP's majority in the Rajasthan Assembly. Similarly, Choudhry is expected to secure the seat unopposed in Haryana, with support from BJP and JJP rebel MLAs. Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi has filed his nomination for the Rajya Sabha seat from Telangana, likely to win as major opposition parties have not fielded candidates. The bypolls for these and other Rajya Sabha seats across nine states will be held on September 3, 2024.
