Flag-Bearers Named for Harbin Asian Winter Games Opening Ceremony

Short-track speed skater Lam Ching-yan and alpine skier Adrian Yung have been selected as Hong Kong's flag bearers for the opening ceremony of the 2025 Asian Winter Games in Harbin. Kenneth Fok, the delegation's chef de mission, emphasized that their selection showcases Hong Kong's ability to nurture talented winter sports athletes despite being a 'snowless city.' Both athletes have achieved significant success in recent competitions, with Lam winning multiple medals at the Asian Open Short Track Speed Skating Trophy and Yung being the first male athlete from Hong Kong to qualify for the Alpine skiing event at the Winter Olympics. The Asian Winter Games will feature the largest delegation Hong Kong has ever sent to such an event. The opening ceremony is set to take place on Friday evening.
