Florida Man Charged After Running Over Woman Over Foot-Smelling Dispute

Elmoncy Sercle, 28, was arrested on charges of aggravated battery after allegedly running over a woman with his SUV during their first date in a hotel room in Aventura, Florida. The pair met through the dating app Seeking, where the woman, a foot model, agreed to sell Sercle used sneakers for $1,000 but refused his request to smell her feet, which made her uncomfortable. After the woman went to the bathroom, Sercle ran out of the room, prompting her to chase him into the parking lot, where he then deliberately struck her with his vehicle before fleeing the scene. The victim sustained road rash and bruising to her back, arms, and chest, requiring immediate medical attention but has since recovered. Sercle was later apprehended when attempting to book another room at the same hotel and pleaded not guilty at arraignment. The woman expressed shock at the incident, noting she had encountered many people with foot fetishes but never anything of this severity, emphasizing her gratitude for surviving the attack.
