Motorcyclists Killed in Crashes on Sawgrass Expressway, Highway 640

Two fatal motorcycle accidents occurred recently, one in Rosemère, north of Montreal, and another on the Sawgrass Expressway in Sunrise, Florida. In Rosemère, a man in his 40s lost control of his motorcycle on Highway 640, was thrown into another lane, and struck by a box truck, dying at the scene. On the Sawgrass Expressway, a 37-year-old Hialeah man riding a 2025 Suzuki motorcycle collided with a 2025 Subaru SUV driven by a 69-year-old woman; witnesses reported the motorcyclist had been speeding and making erratic lane changes before the crash. The Florida Highway Patrol confirmed the motorcyclist was killed instantly, and the southbound lanes of the expressway were closed for hours during the investigation. Authorities in both locations are investigating the incidents to determine the causes and circumstances of the crashes. The SUV drivers in the Florida crash were not injured.
