South Carolina Installs Signs for 2024 Championship

South Carolina is installing 15 new highway signs to honor the 2024 national championship victory of the University of South Carolina's women's basketball team, coached by Dawn Staley. The signs, unveiled by USC Athletics Director Ray Tanner and South Carolina Secretary of Transportation Justin Powell, will be placed at welcome centers across the state and various locations around Columbia. This marks the team's third national title, achieved with an undefeated 38-0 season capped by an 87-75 victory over Iowa. Staley expressed her hope that this would become an annual event and shared her gratitude whenever she sees the celebratory signs. The installation is expected to be completed by September 30.
