China Warns India on Taiwan Relations

China has urged India to exercise caution regarding Taiwan after the opening of a new Taiwanese consulate in Mumbai, which is Taiwan's third office in India. Recently, China conducted military exercises around Taiwan, asserting its claim over the island, which Taiwan rejects. Mao stated that China has made formal representations to India, urging it to avoid actions that could disrupt the improvement of bilateral ties.
