New Cast Joins Masters of the Universe Film

The upcoming live-action adaptation of 'Masters of the Universe' has expanded its cast with notable actors James Purefoy and Charlotte Riley as King Randor and Queen Marlena, respectively. Morena Baccarin and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson have also joined the ensemble as The Sorceress and Fisto, continuing the film's trend of high-profile casting. This reboot, directed by Travis Knight and developed by Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films, will follow Prince Adam's transformation into He-Man to protect Eternia from Skeletor. The film, based on the iconic 1980s toy line and animated series, is set for a theatrical release on June 5, 2026. The cast includes Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man and Jared Leto as Skeletor, among other stars. Plot details remain under wraps, but it promises to bring a fresh take to the beloved franchise.
