Ulrich Thomsen Joins 'Lanterns' as Sinestro

HBO's 'Lanterns' series has cast Ulrich Thomsen as Sinestro, a former Green Lantern turned supervillain, alongside Aaron Pierre as John Stewart and Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan. The series will explore a murder mystery in the American heartland involving these intergalactic cops. Sinestro's character arc involves his transformation from Hal Jordan's mentor to his arch-nemesis, forming his own Sinestro Corps. Thomsen, known for roles in 'Banshee' and 'The Young Pope', joins a cast that includes Kelly Macdonald and Poorna Jagannathan. 'Lanterns' is co-written by Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King and will be produced by HBO, Warner Bros. Television, and DC Studios.
