Andrew Cabot, husband of Kristin Cabot who was seen on Coldplay's kiss cam with her boss Andy Byron, has stated that he and Kristin were "privately and amicably separated" several weeks before the concert incident. The couple confirmed their divorce filing, which was already underway prior to the viral kiss cam footage that led to Andy Byron stepping down as CEO of tech firm Astronomer and Kristin resigning as Head of HR. Andrew, a Massachusetts businessman and CEO of a distillery, has emphasized the family's desire for privacy amid the public scandal. Coldplay's frontman Chris Martin made light of the moment, joking the pair were either "having an affair or just very shy." Both Andrew and Kristin have been through previous divorces, and no further public comments will be made according to Andrew's spokesperson. The divorce petition was filed on August 13 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
