Michigan Man Charged with Felony Murder

Carlos Jose Hernandez, a 37-year-old man from Dearborn, Michigan, has been charged with felony murder and two counts of unlawful imprisonment in connection with the death of 72-year-old Hussein Murray. Hernandez, along with an unidentified accomplice, allegedly posed as DTE utility workers to gain access to Murray's home, where they assaulted his wife, tied her up, and ultimately killed Murray. Following the incident, which occurred over two days, Hernandez was arrested in Shreveport, Louisiana, on multiple warrants, including one for murder. Authorities are still searching for the second suspect involved in the crime. If convicted, Hernandez faces a mandatory life sentence for felony murder, with additional penalties for the unlawful imprisonment charges.
