KJ Apa Cast as Bradley Nowell in Sublime Biopic

KJ Apa, known for his role in 'Riverdale,' has been cast to portray Bradley Nowell, the late frontman of the band Sublime, in an upcoming biopic directed by Justin Chon. The film, which is currently in pre-production, will explore Nowell's life, the band's rise to fame, and his tragic death from a heroin overdose in 1996. Original band members Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh are executive producers, along with Nowell's widow Troy and son Jakob. Although no release date has been set, the film is reportedly in production and is eagerly anticipated by fans. The movie follows Sublime's legacy, including their brief reunion with Jakob Nowell at Coachella earlier this year and their transition into the offshoot band Sublime with Rome.
