Zimbabwe Leads Second Test Against Afghanistan
Afghanistan struggled early in their second innings, finishing the second day of the second Test against Zimbabwe at 46-3, still trailing by 40 runs when play was halted due to bad light. Zimbabwe's Blessing Muzarabani dismissed both openers Abdul Malik and Riaz Hassan cheaply, while captain Hashmatullah Shahidi was bowled by Sikandar Raza for 13. Earlier, Zimbabwe posted 243 in their first innings, with captain Craig Ervine top-scoring at 75, supported by Sikandar Raza's 61 and Sean Williams' 49. Afghanistan, who batted first, managed only 157 runs. Notably, Rashid Khan took four wickets for 94 runs in his comeback. The contrasting conditions in the second Test have resulted in significantly more wickets falling compared to the first Test, which ended in a draw.
