Rob Elliot Joins Crawley Town as Manager

Rob Elliot has left his position as Gateshead manager to take over as Crawley Town's new manager on a two-and-a-half-year deal, accompanied by player-assistant manager Louis Storey and first-team coach Anthony Sweeney. Gateshead has appointed Ben Clark as interim manager, supported by Luke Clark, captain Greg Olley, and senior player Jacob Butterfield. Elliot led Gateshead to an FA Trophy victory and a sixth-place finish in the National League last season. Crawley chairman Preston Johnson expressed confidence in Elliot’s forward-thinking, data-driven approach to improve the team, which is currently near the League One drop zone. The change follows Scott Lindsey's departure to MK Dons, leaving Crawley struggling at 20th in League One.
